Since then, there has been a flurry of articles, blog posts, and news stories about it – including one that resulted in HATRED being removed from Steam’s Greenlight. This action was promptly apologized for and the game reinstated by Gabe Newell, saying, “It turns out that it wasn’t a good decision, and we’ll be putting Hatred back up. My apologies to you and your team.” (GameSpot.com)
Now, the announcement of the game’s official release date has finally been made.
Since the very beginning, when Hatred was first announced, there were many doubts and questions rising about the title. Including those whether or not developers will manage to actually release the game. Today Destructive Creations proudly say: we are ready! And happy to confirm that Hatred will be released on June 1st 2015. Soon all questions will be replaced with answers and you will find out that it was worth to wait. Get ready to test your shooting, tactical and destruction skills!
With reviews from PC Gamer saying, “This embarrassing shooter looks like the kind of thing a developer would release in the late ‘90s to rile up tabloid newspapers”, I don’t hold much hope in the way of gameplay for this title just yet, HOWEVER, I really can’t wait to try it myself and see what all the fuss is about.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen the trailers, and the game play, and with tensions being what they are at the moment, I could see how feathers are going to be ruffled by this announcement once again. However, I’d like to keep an open mind and give the game a… shot. And while I’m not huge into shooters myself, I’m REALLY looking forward to seeing how this one pans out.
Hatred is an isometric twin stick shooter, where the player takes the role of a cold-blooded Antagonist, who is full of hatred for humanity.
